SCL delivers what combat sports promise — passionate fans, electric live events, and athletes with real stories.

Sumo Championship League is the first fully funded professional sumo league outside Japan. A touring season, competing in cities across the U.S., at family-arena scale — the league the Western audience for sumo has been waiting for.

Built by the team that ran WWE, Feld, Cartoon Network/Adult Swim, Nelvana, Cookie Jar, and licensed global brands for Universal, Sony, DreamWorks, and Fox. Co-founders Stuart Snyder and Toper Taylor have spent the last thirty years building family-entertainment brands at global scale. SCL is the new one.

SCL is built as a multi-revenue property — live events, broadcast and streaming, sponsorship, media rights, merchandise, and licensing, with international expansion ahead. A founding partnership is a stake in the property, not a one-event placement.

For Arenas.

SCL is a touring league. Season One runs across U.S. cities beginning fall 2026, with at least one event a month, building to a year-end championship bout. The initial focus is arenas in the 4,000–6,000-seat range — the scale the touring model is built around.

For Sponsors.

The action is the draw: two athletes, fast and powerful, most bouts decided in seconds. No punching, no kicking — real combat without the striking. That’s why the same event a fight fan takes seriously is one a family can sit through together. The audience is men, women, and children, and it is broader, younger, and more brand-receptive than any fighting league has reached before.

If your brand is interested in combat sports, you’re safe with Sumo. If you see an opportunity here, tell us about it.

We work brand by brand. Activation that fits a children’s media brand looks different from activation that fits a nutrition brand, and partnership conversations move at the pace each category needs.

Brand safety, by design.

Content standards, venue selection, event-day design, and broadcast content are written for households watching together — operating commitments of the league, set before the marketing. Family-facing surfaces and age-gated surfaces do not cross-publish: family-positioning sponsors won’t see their brand placed next to age-gated content, and age-gated category sponsors get the same protection.
